Daily Devotion: Speak Truth - Ephesians 4:25

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. – Ephesians 4:25
The first wicked act was a lie. Thus from this evil came all others as the pebble that first moves upon a mountain to become an avalanche. So it should be no light thing for us to lie even in a small matter.
As ambassadors for the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we must champion not only the supreme Truth of God’s Word but also truthfulness as a virtue. Indeed, even the Gospel rings hollow when it comes from a lying mouth. Therefore when you speak dear Christian, speak the truth and only the truth so help you God. Speak the truth in love, but speak the truth.

Exodus 7:6-10    "And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they. And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh. And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
