Genesis 6:8-9 “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. (9) These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”
We
see “Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations.” That does not mean
that Noah was without sin; rather, his family had remained true to the
direction of God concerning their lineage. Noah was mature in his walk with the
Lord and was sensitive to the Spirit of God leading him in his
life. It is so very important that we practice the presence of the
Lord in our daily walk. We may never be called upon to build an ark, but we are
walking in the protection of God’s daily grace when we walk with the Lord.
Paul
was inspired to write, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:
for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion
hath light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14) Noah was yoked
together with the Lord and not the world. Paul also wrote, “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his
Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:9) The question for today would be
this, “Do I want to walk in fellowship with the world and be tainted by its
wickedness?” - or - “Do I want to walk in fellowship with my Lord and
experience His presence in my life?
