Proverbs 27:1 "Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth."
We often hear it said, "The only two things in life that are certain
are death and taxes." We know that unless the Lord returns, there is only
one way out of this life. Why do I begin this writing in this manner? Though it
is a good thing to make plans, we are told to take one thing into
consideration. James tells us "... ye ought to say, If
the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that." (James 4:15)
Again it is good to make plans, but we must place our utmost
confidence in the Lord. We are told our Lord declares "... the
end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that
are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will
do all my pleasure." (Isaiah 46:10)
My question today is, Should I trust my own plans or depend upon the One Who
declares the end from the beginning?
