Daily Devotion: Psalm 32:8

Psalm 32:8     "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye."

 I want to first say that I am beyond thankful that our Lord watches over us. We just spent three days in an area that has such wonderful beauty. Some of it goes beyond anything I have ever seen. All of the area demands an awesome wonder at the manner in which our Lord spoke this universe into existence. I'm so thankful for the experience.

 Since we left home, we have tried to pray each day for the Lord's guidance and protection over us. It is the longest and farthest trip we have taken. On our last evening there, we learned something about the area. The crime rate is six times higher than the national average. I'm thankful we learned that on our last evening.  I am thankful (I can't use that word enough) for our Lord's watchful eye.  I want to say in that place where we spent those three days, some people looked at us suspiciously. But thank God there were some who were so very nice to us and made us feel welcomed. God has a people in every place. We pray for the Lord's protection over those sweet ones.

 In conclusion, we thought about cutting that stay shorter, but we felt strongly about staying the extra day. God had planned a special time for us when we met a super nice guide and, for me, we saw one of the great wonders of this earth. Such natural beauty as I've ever seen. We believe Psalm 32:8 when God says,  "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." He guides us into beautiful places.

Daily Devotion: Knowing God By Bearing Fruit

Some will notice the title is not “Bearing fruit because we know God,” so to avoid getting sidetracked with that, we can start with the fact that we won’t bear any godly fruit unless our heart has been changed and the Holy Spirit dwells within us.
