Psalm 110:1 "The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool." Though David penned these words, they are spoken by God, the Father to God, the Son. "Sit thou at my right hand." This is the position that was held by the Son of God from eternity past. Before the day of creation, during creation, until the fulness of time when the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, the Son of God sat at the Father's right hand. He laid aside His glorious garments and clothed Himself in the likeness of our sinful flesh. He was born of a virgin, grew up in the household of Joseph and Mary, and walked among sinful men. He endured such contradictions against Himself. Can we understand that for Jesus to leave the glory of heaven and walk on this earth was a greater act of humility than we will ever know?
